Another game (kind of)

Journal Entry: Fri Dec 12, 2008, 6:27 PM
That's my way of helping the underdogs of arts & culture :

I'm offering a full sized print (or near), of just correct quality (unfornately, I can't afford much more :() of any one of my posters (at your choice) if you go grab a copy of the movie the werckmeister harmonies by hungarese film artisan Bela Tarr, then watch it and report it back here, giving your feeling and appreciation.

So hurry to your local DVD store, online shop or p2p network and take the chance of discovering one of the most beautiful film ever made.

Features

Journal Entry: Mon Dec 1, 2008, 7:32 PM
A tout seigneur, tout honneur we'll start with ~apolinne, which ran the original game (see my previous journal if you don't know what the hell I'm talking about, or just damn guess and go on with your life!)

:iconapolinne:

Apolinne has a gallery full of lovely shapes and colors, drawn or hand-crafted, that some people may describe as wicked or sick. Either is just fine for me and you, as it is a proof of a healthy brain in command (if you don't follow the logic, it could mean you don't have a healthy brain, I fear).

She's got a lot of cool portraits, but I made my choice to only show one with an emphasis on fun and character.

Even fish can have character and creativity,... and a very, very terrible typo.

And this feature would not be complete without a hand crafted work. Let me introduce you to Madame Merteuil :XD:

:iconmaiyanne:

Maiyanne has a photography and literature gallery, but my low IQ prevents me from learning how to read, so I just skip the texts. She has, as every women - so it seems, a good eye for emotionally charged colors and composition. And for birds.

This one is the first I saw from her, and still my favorite. Quite a cool "freeze time, please" shot, that will still be worth in many years to look at even though she would won a photography award.

Layers of depth and light. But I disagree with the title (goddamn, now you know I can actually read!)

She will certainly be unhappy with this last feature, but hey, it's MY journal! Self portrait (I guess), which in the end is the only thing that does really matter. Nice bubble.

:iconmaindargent:
Same thing. Photography and literature (that I must pretend to have read for the sake of friendship :lonely:). As all guy, so it seems, it is less emotional and more straight-lined.

His best photo, photo-journalism like, with a gloomy statement about what awaits us too after the financial crisis :salute:.

Nice colors, again a kind of a grim statement about what awaits us too after the you know what :salute:

Some guys just can't decide between portrait and landscape orientation. Again a bitter statement. Does anyone realizes the sad fate of shoes of boat peoples?!

:icondietlook:

Holy Christ that would have us burn in hell for our sins! I'm going to dive deep into hundreds of pictures to choose 3 features! There's a lot of shiny looking things down there, photos and manips, with a quite good graphical taste. Let's go.

"In the manipulative world, sometimes you have to be a manipulative bitch." (quoted)

I love statues. And moody color tones.

Did I already say that self portraits are great ?

seven:seven:seven is the hidden key

Journal Entry: Wed Nov 12, 2008, 5:00 PM
:iconapolinne: had a little game running lately, and now it's my turn.

It's very simple, the first seven deviantArtists to post a comment to this journal entry will be featured (I'll choose 3 deviations from each one) on a next journal entry. If you are featured, you must accept to run the same game or you'll burn in hell with other deceitful peoples of your treacherous kind. boo.

Pretty simple, isn't it ?

Yearly plan

Journal Entry: Wed Aug 6, 2008, 6:39 AM
So, I just subscribed to dA for one more year, which is a good time to make a bit of a plan for the coming year (sept 2008 - sept 2009).

I think of this year like some kind of a milestone : either I succeed to sart making something of everything I do (= working/earning money), either I give up, erase everything I've done, sell all gears, and with the money buy a gun or a rope :giggle:

To end with some love, I would like to thank all these peoples for their constant support and friendship. Without them I would have already give up a long time ago.

Maël ":lonely:" L., ~arkhalys, who is something like a brother now, and from who I gain so much inspiration and energy.

Jessica "Goddess of Ink and Paper" R., *Serenesta, the world shaper.

The serbo-franglish =DietLook, who's always saying some strange things to me.

Ophélie "I punch you in the face" D. and Lucie "she punched me in the face" P., ~kitoom, Sun & Moon.

Sandrine "des promesses, toujours des promesses" G., ~Melopee, who has secret archives on me :S

Jérémie "I am the best!" E., ~maindargent, for years of friendships and thoughts sharing.

The mysterious =Wundenkuessen, who's trying to dress our fridges with her magnets :giggle:

The ever absent but missed ~Socratim, who died last time he posted me a comment "arglbargle".

*mybluenothing who has blue on his nickname only because it's the color we never see in his gallery, I think :P

Faker "Paul Muad'ib" K., the smartest man on earth that will one day rule all of us (how we'll suffer !)

Eric "I'm drinking vodka" K, who is certainly hi-jacking your wi-fi now !

--

And a special thank to Marc-André F. ([link]) and Véronique R. from who I learned way more than what I thought at first.
